Be Different

Very many thanks to Dr Jens Madrian from Npower for this talk yesterday on the forthcoming Inspire Antarctic Expedition 2009 led by Robert Swan and his 2041 team. The idea – that if we can survive on renewable energy in the inhospitable conditions of Antarctic then we can so anywhere in the world – is an inspiration.

The websites captures below are also links to websites for more information.

We look forward to Dr Madrian’s return visit early next term to tell us what it was like. We hope his eyes don’t change colour!

Today

I will take some new photographs and post one or two here.

For 2009 – not at all sure that I like it yet.

Hope you like the falling snow – available for a limited period only (9th Jan).

Yes, a Happy New Year to all GeoActive readers – all 30 million of you!!

You will notice that I have been exceedingly lazy with new posts recently. Well that’s because I have been on holiday and a little thing, no, big thing, called Christmas came a round and I found myself distracted.

Things will start to pick up when term begins and thsi dull grey fog which seems to have enveloped the country has dissipated.

Meanwhhile, I say again Happy New Year, may 2009 be all that you feeel it should be.
